I hate when that happens.

darstep 08-07-2012 03:49 PM

Did they kill it?

skymike 08-07-2012 04:19 PM

that could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for an NFL player.

FinSaint 08-07-2012 04:29 PM

Mack went down as well in that HOF game, but I haven't seen the injury update on his condition.

So, I guess it's a good thing that Spags and Flajole went through what they did last season with the Rams, because now they know how to get 3rd and 4th string guys to play as starting DBs.

Update from Practice with Patriots...

"Saints' top 3 CBs in two-minute drill: Marquis Johnson; Elbert Mack; and A.J. Davis." - Jeff Duncan

Looks like Mack's OK.

I've got one play left in me. i can do it.

Danno 08-08-2012 08:06 AM

Greer - Will be OK for game 1
Robinson - Might play next week
Patrick - Nothing serious, probably back next week.

And with the way Johnson is currently playing he may end up as our 3rd or 4th best CB.

These minor injuries are giving the young guys plenty of playing time.

I'm not worried....yet.

That shouldn't keep him out long. While I'm sure it's extremely painful, it's easily resolved unless it's let to go on too long.

Poydras, is that where the little cord tangles up? (dont worry, im not going to ask you to look at anything. Although, my bellybutton is still messed up. lol.)

Danno 08-08-2012 05:34 PM

And he's back at practice today.

Are we gonna panic post every minor injury to every player we have during training camp?

I'll bet almost every player on our roster will miss some TC time due to some sort of minor injury.

skymike 08-08-2012 05:52 PM

yes we are, Danno. Because thats what we do, and I personally want to know more.

Did you know I have a messed up belly button? You can push it in with your
finger & I can pop it back out. Wanna see it?

Ingram is the one that worries me. He dry humped me by looking so good aganst the Cards only to turn around and get injured. Any idea what the injury is?

...or twisted. Even if it requires surgery, you're probably only talking about being out a couple of weeks.

Then why did they say he wasnt practicing?

The Dude 08-08-2012 06:56 PM

I read on another thread that 8 saints were injured including Ingram. Cant link as i am on my asus pad and dont know how.

FinSaint 08-09-2012 04:23 AM

I think that they might just still be taking it cautiously with Ingram like they did to start the offseason practices, because he is coming off a surgery and they want to give him enough rest in between to allow his body to recuperate.

Out a couple
weeks, ok. Are you talking about fixing my bellybutton or my ball?
Would my insurance cover this?

hahahaha.... yeah, i know, normy. I'd have to be
home for more than 2 hours in a row to use it.

Not that anything I do takes 2 hours...
but just I have to mow the yard, and do stuff.... Should've cut em both off 20 years ago, so I could be rich and sane today.

Re: Johnny Patrick injured at practice against Pats

I heard his name a few time Johnny Patrick.

Clarke 08-09-2012 11:39 PM

Re: Johnny Patrick injured at practice against Pats

Glad to see Johnny was ok. There's a receiver up here in the CFL named Fred Stamps who had to get one of his testicles removed last season because of an injury. I was fearing same thing could happen to Patrick.

Side note, great pass break up today near the goal line!

skymike 08-10-2012 05:52 AM

Re: Johnny Patrick injured at practice against Pats

man, if you're gonna take time to remove one.... get rid of the other one too....save yourself some stress.
