This sounds like another reason for the commish to issue suspensions if anyone defies his directive.

Re: NFL memo urges team silence on replacement officials
Anyone watching the game? They're saying how good the good calls are and ignoring the bad. They've only shown replays of a few penalties. Surely because they passed the viewer approval test.

Keep your mouth shut about the replacement officials...or else...
Half season suspension... |
Re: NFL memo urges team silence on replacement officials
Looks to me like a memo like this attempting to curtail the owner's, coaches, players, and team personnel gives more creditability to the reports Sean Payton and others were given a GAG Order.
Guess the "annonymus league source" may eventually come back to aid something other than the league's PR agenda. |

Re: NFL memo urges team silence on replacement officials
Not to be pro-Goodell here, but it really hurts the leagues stance in these negotiations if coaches and players start complaining about the poor quality of reffing in the preseason. That gives the striking refs a serious leg up.
I personally want these negotiations to be over with before the regular season, and I don't think Goodell will cave as easily as the refs will. The NFL will go on regardless, but will the striking refs work? The easier these negotiations go for the NFL, the better. |
Re: NFL memo urges team silence on replacement officials
DAMN! Does this mean we're not gonna' be able to talk about the NFL's first female ref? I was gonna' blog, :( ... and excuse me for being sexist, but I thought she had a cute butt, :) ... and last, but not least, if we're gonna' have women refs, I'd like to see Zoey in a zebra suit calling a game,.
