Camp Brees anything but normal for Saints' leader
Saints middle linebacker Curtis Lofton saw that from the other side when lining up against Brees as an Atlanta Falcon, and he’s quickly grown to appreciate that more in his first camp in New Orleans.
“He’s very cerebral and has a high football IQ,” Lofton said. “I knew that coming in here, but seeing how he operates and seeing him practice, you have a lot more respect for him.” Individually, Brees’ smarts set up him apart from many players. But he never makes his teammates feel like they are less important to the team goals. “He’s also a humble guy who puts this team first,” Lofton said. “I’m happy to be on this team and not playing against him.” Camp Brees anything but normal for Saints' leader - NFL - Sporting News |

Article quote:
"Although the Saints will miss Payton to some degree in the short term, this season will be a reminder of just how lucky they are to have a happy and healthy Brees." Great find. Thanks, WhoDat656. |
