Casillas has been enigmatic, but I think he was going to be, and now most certainly will be the other starter, along with Lofton and Hawthorne. I really thought Martez was going to challenge for a starting spot at outside LB until they moved him to DE. Chamberlain would have been quality depth.

I think Chamerlain was simply a Shanle clone, which isn't all bad.

Hawthorne is the one I have high hopes for. And of course Vilma getting his suspension overturned.

Lofton - MLB
Hawthorne - SLB
Vilma - WLB

I agree. I viewed Chamberlain very much as another Shanle type who doesn't make big plays, but he always makes the play in front of him. I'm not crazy about Vilma at this stage of his career but if he is healthy and were not suspended I would feel more comfortable with him than Casillas.
