I still call it the Super Dome and I was originally very much against selling the naming rights to MB. Over time though I have slowly changed my mind and kinda like that it is the Merecedes Benz Super Dome now. I look at all the other companies that have bought naming rights and well I'm sorry but none of them quite compare. Lucas oil, Met life and others kinda look pedestrian next to Merecedes Benz.

Maybe I just have an aversion to "Benz" or "Beemer", luxary names. We are not a silky britches kind of team. I just think the Mercedes emblem lends a certain cheese to itself.
I would prefer one of the following sponsors: Hummer Dome Kobalt Dome Craftsman Dome Winchester Dome Blue Ribbon Dacon Dome WD-40 Dome Ducktape Dome RedJacket Dome ..... "anything manly" Dome |

It's been over two decades since I lived in New Orleans. I think that back then I called it the Dome. I call it the Super Dome now.
