Refs in Colts game
I was just watching the Colts game and they were down on the one yard line about to score when Pitt had too many men on the field. The ball was snapped and the running back launched over the the pile and broke the plane of the end zone just as the refs blew the whistle. A penalty was called for too many men on the field and the Colts were given half the distance of the goal still second down. They wound up scoring anyway, but how the hell is that punishing the Steelers when it basically negated a Colts touchdown? No big deal since they scored but how pissed would you be if it was our team and somehow we wound up NOT scoring or fumbling the ball after that call. It would have clearly been a touchdown but the officialls blew the whistle late so they basically had to do it over. Not that I care but it just doesn't seem right.

Re: Refs in Colts game
Because of the Saints style of play, I have concerns of its effect on the Saints game...

Re: Refs in Colts game
The TD that Luck 'scored' was questionable at best.

Re: Refs in Colts game
If we start the regular season with these replacement refs I am going to need a prescription for Xanax.

Decline the penalty

Re: Refs in Colts game
Indy might have just accepted the penalty for the heck of it, and said let's run some different play here and try it again, because we don't get many opportunities to test our goal line offense with actual opponents instead of against our own defensive guys in practice. Don't know what exactly happened there but it's possible.
