Thanks guys for all the suggestions. We will try and do as much as possible while we're in town.

also, check out DBA on frenchmen...one of the best places to grab a beer and some music in the city IMO. and if you wanna splurge for an amazing meal, go to upperline (on upperline st uptown) - my favorite restaurant in the world.

Upperline is hands down one of the best restaurants in the city. I actually did a radio show with Dianne Clevinger the owner last week. You will see her if you go, always in the dining room and she is a riot.

Go to Bourbon House which is next door instead. Rickey and Leo at the oyster bar can shuck them as well as anyone. Get Leo to shuck some behind his back for you. At night, start at Pat Obriens with a hurricane and then bar hop up the street toward Canal. On Bourbon Street, stay between Canal and St Ann. If you like sushi, hit Rock and Sake on Fulton, near the convention center. Make sure you have lunch somewhere on Bourbon Street on game day because that's where all the action will be.

The Bourbon House is great. I loved the oysters fonseca more than a man should love his food.

After I've had a dozen raw on the half shell, I like the trio which is two of each; Rockefeller, Bienville and Fonseca. I'm not sure I really know which are which though. They're all delicious! The bar there is a fun place to have lunch.
