Saints LB Barrett Ruud could play against Houston

Ruud is among the players listed as possibilities for this game, including several players who were either injured or have sat out practice recently.

Vitt said cornerback Marquis Johnson, after sitting out two days this week, practiced Thursday and has a good chance of playing.

Defensive end Turk McBride, meanwhile, practiced all week and, if all goes well in evaluations the next couple of days, he could see time against the Texans.

“We will take a look at him and see if there is any post-practice swelling and make an evaluation before the game,” Vitt said. “(He) really had a more productive week than we originally thought in the beginning of the week.”
