I think Knight is a cap casualty .
Hand will be restructured . Safety could be a high draft pick . |

there is no reason that we should let sammy go, he is a pro bowl safety and those are hard to come by, we need to resign him!!

if sammy is a unrestricted FA, can we designate him our \"franchise\" player?

Yes, I think we can. Knight has to be resigned. After that Spikes, Brookings, and Hugh Douglas all look very good to me. Our line backers need help and we could certainly use a pass rusher.... although to Grant\'s credit he is coming along nicely, and Howard is a stud.

spikes will most likely be \"franchised\", brookings, i dunno bout him, the falcons were trying to resign him about a month ago, but they couldnt come to terms so they resigned patrick kerney instead. hugh douglas will definetly be \"franchised\" and will cost a pretty penny to sign as well

The one thing I am sure of is that this off season will be vewwy vewwy interesting. This team will have options beyond options with 2 first rounders and the 3rd we\'ll end up with from the Roaf deal, et al. Trade up? Down? Deal\'em for a player? Use one 1st rounder and trade the other? Kinda cool if you think about it. I\'m thinking this year they use all their picks (heavy dose of defense), franchise Knight, do very little with free agents, and have a mostly young team for a nice strech of time.....which hopefully equals a S.B. or 2...:-)

thats the thing that we have to realize, is that this team hasnt been playin together for that long, most of our players are either rookies or free agents aquired durin the previous offseason, next season will be interesting
