I loved Hoby. (what in the world was his real name?) He had the best hands,
and like all Bum Phillips TE's, he was a world class blocker, but... the man could not run upright after a catch.... untouched, he would founder like a drunk in a windstorm. I called him "Hoby Wobbles But He Does Fall Down." You gotta be old to get that.

fun fact: Hoby was All Pac 10 in 1980.

Reminds me of Shockey during the Super Bowl year. Me and some friends made it a running joke after almost every Shockey reception to say "there goes Shockey on his a$$ again". Wouldn't be a defender within five yards of him and he would go right down after the catch.

Yeah, I moved home late May of last year. I went from the hustle and bustle of working in the Quarter to sitting on my butt pushing buttons and staring at a computer screen for 12 hours a night. I moved back around the time I took my hiatus from the forums.
