NFL Network and Preseason games...
Training camp starts next week and there seems to be nothing going on... Weird.
I heard on Sports Radio here in hated Falcon country that the NFL Network will be televising all 2004 preseason games. I immediately got on my cell phone to DirecTV and asked if NFL Network (which I knew they carried) was a part of the NFL Sunday Ticket package (which I have to have to see Saints games during the season). and lo and behold: IT IS! :D So for the first time in over 20 years I'll actually get to see all of the preseason games instead of having to read about results in the paper. I think this is important because preseason games are not about winning and losing, but about evaluating talent, and in the later stages prepping for the season opener. I can still remember seeing Boo Williams as a rookie tearing up the Vikings secondary in a preseason game (wearing #48 IIRC). I knew then that guy was going to help us. So here's to seeing all the Saints preseason games, and a fervent fervent wish that absolutely no injuries occur while the Saints get geared up for the 4 game mini season against the NFC West.
