I guess its easy to go get a guy who allready knows the system. Just plug him in right away.

Re: New Orleans Saints Claim CB Jerome Murphy off of Waivers; Waive CB Elbert Mack
Also don't forget that the rams were down to their 6th CB last season due to injuries, so this guy probably got quite abit of playing time

More upside than Mack.

No, he missed the entire last season due to an ankle injury, so he was one of those dozen Rams' DBs to hit the IR last season. Like you guys said, it's good to see Spags bring in these guys that formerly played under him because they won't have to make that many adjustments in order to fit in. |

I kind of liked Mack, but I like that we are constantly upgrading.

Yeah, I agree Rugby. Mack looked like a very serviceable vet, much better than f.e. Torrence did in past years, and hopefully he'll be available later on in the season if the need for a CB arises. |

We have trust that the coaches know what they are doing

He plays his butt off until Marquis Johnson heals up for next season...
Screw this rebuild crap - Saints are in RELOAD MODE... |
Re: New Orleans Saints Claim CB Jerome Murphy off of Waivers; Waive CB Elbert Mack
I wasn't crazy about Mack personally. I think he was a lame duck who only stayed on the final roster due to Marquis Johnson's injury. Glad to see they moved to upgrade, even if it is only the 5th cb spot
