Saints MLB Curtis Lofton, WR Adrian Arrington promise they’re ready to play

METAIRIE, La. — Middle linebacker Curtis Lofton walked to his locker in the New Orleans Saints’ locker room and, upon turning around, noticed he was surrounded by a gaggle of recorders, microphones and TV cameras.

Then he definitively shot down any theories that his ankle was hurt enough to keep him out of Sunday’s curtain raiser against the Washington Redskins.

“I’m playing,” Lofton said. “I’ll be out there. Today was an extra day so I just another day of rest for us. But as of Wednesday, I’m ready to go.”
