Sounds like a confession to me!!
Avant told CSNPhilly.com that he believes players are going to have some tricks up their sleeves that the replacement refs won’t be ready for.
“There are some things that are going to get called, some things that are not going to be called,” Avant said. “When you go into a game, you know what things you can do to get away with, with these refs that we have. Guys are going to kind of cheat this week.” Eagles’ Jason Avant: With replacement refs, guys are going to cheat | ProFootballTalk |

Re: Sounds like a confession to me!!
Cheaters are gonna' cheat when they can. When one of the big market players gets hurt in front of their fans this could take on a new tone.

Re: Sounds like a confession to me!!
I knew this in the preseason.
Some of these ref crews is going to be exactly like that where they going to completely miss calling even the simple stuff like Holding penalties, calling too many PIs calls, not calling or calling too many false starts. I knew this was coming, I can bet our coaching staff is on that to. |

So we barbeque Coach Payton for not taking care of the "shield" and yet who's gonna check to make sure Rodge is taking care of the "shield" brand?!? |
Re: Sounds like a confession to me!!
I can't believe this... for years everybody wanted to dump the NFL refs and now that they've been dumped, people don't feel a new bunch could do the job?

Re: Sounds like a confession to me!!
Last nights game was the best of thee worst... The highest quality scrub you can get on the field.
Do not expect that sort of elite officiating for non prime time football. Wait until Tuesday before we decide we can live with the scrubs.. We may see a balk called once or twice this weekend when a QB pumps, or "foul ball" called on a missed FG attempt. |
Re: Sounds like a confession to me!!
I am waiting for them to miss the 1 foot/2 foot down, pass reception calls, down by contact with the ground, and waiting for them to spot the ball in the wrong place for a kick or where they line up for a 2 point conversion. I'm not sure these scabs have sorted out that college rules are different from pro.
