Quarterback Aaron Brooks has to emerge this season as something more than a tease whose talent fascinates but whose inconsistency is a coach killer.
Brooks’ potential is obvious but potential, after a while, only means you haven’t done a damn thing, which some are beginning to say about Brooks. He lost 11 fumbles last season, and his career has been a roller coaster ride of high moments and low plunges. He cut his interceptions to a league-low eight, which is a good thing, but he can’t keep dropping the ball on the ground (he was responsible for more than half of the team’s league-leading 20 lost fumbles).
