While this does not directly affect the coaches and GM, I think this does give Benson more ammo to go back to Goodell and ask again to reduce their suspensions. There were clearly rules broken, but my position all along regarding the suspensions has been that they are too harsh and don't fit the crimes.

Hopefully, this will deflate his enormous ego enough to at least consider it.

Oh, and this is best for Hargrove. What team was going to pick him up knowing he was going to miss 8 games? Could have been a career killer.

Do we have to make cap space? Smiths has always been in tact and not sure Vilmas was vacated yet... Then again what happens if he goes in IR?
