In my humble opinion I agree. But I have always believed a decent defense should hold the opposing team to 20 or less. We scored 25 (and one on ST) and gave up 40.

Sorry Danno. This one is not a pass for the O, but the D cost us this game.

We looked like absolute garbage. That was downright embarrasing. Our players looked like they didn't even care... I saw no heart and soul whatsoever. We were supposed to have an us against the world mentality and instead we laid down and let a rookie QB make us his ***** in our house. It's gonna be a long season.

Not entirely..they gave them 6 points with that bs PI call. Still no excuse for the D. NO PRESSURE from front 4 means pass completions all day for opponents with a "zone" defense. They were able to do whatever they wanted and we couldn't stop anything.

I could not disagree more. Our defense gave up 40 points, but our offense (that record setting juggernaut from last year) scored 25 whopping points and turned the ball over 3 times, of which the skins scored 7 of their points. 15 of our 25 points came in garbage time in the 4th quarter.

This one was on the offense, plain and simple.

Agreed. And OBVIOUSLY out coached. Aaron cromer better wake up and have this team better prepared for the ****ing nfl.

It's silly how much more talent we have than tehe redskins, sure they played well and rgIII is for real, but this is the saints in the ****ing dome! We expect better!

13 penalties, not getting off the field on a punt. I am not blaming the officials for this. Yeah thought the Harp PI was bs, but we got away with on on the Graham fumble. We were outplayed, and we played like crap. our first 4 drives by the O, 1 td, 3 three and outs. I thought our coaching sucked. Where were our playmakers? Sproles, not even seen until the last drive. PT, threw hima bone like 3 times, I dont get it. F MI, run PT.

I never thought I'd see Drew look so bad.

Grubbs is apparently no Nicks and apparently the O-Line depended on Nicks more than I realized.

I can't fathom how awful the D looked. No adjustments, no discipline.

And the only person I saw who looked really pissed about it was Drew. Everyone else seemed nonplussed.

And to have to watch Matt Ryan and now Alex Smith be freaking dominant in their games...I am nauseated.

I am trying really hard to find a silver lining here. The only one I can come up with is hopefully we came in over-confident and this will wake us up but I may be grasping at straws.

Exactly who was that jogging Special Teams @$$clown that cost our D a 3-and-out? I happened to miss the number of that speeding turd.

BTW...we were severely out-couched today for obvious reasons. Dude has won 2 Super Bowls and his game plan flat-out spanked us. There is an obvious difference in our players and their execution when SP ain't in the building.

One more vent: i live in Milwaukee so this is probably the only Saints game i'll get to see except for when we play Green Bay - which I don't see as a win at all, right now.

Too much, too late, clock ran out.
The whole team, tam as a whole, made huge msitakes. Big penalitiesthat are costly for ANY team.
I forogt about the 12 man on field one.
The biggest ones I think:
1-Not being able to count ...11 or 12. How, why, could someone not see, "Oh, we have 12 guys out here."
2-Dropies. You have the ball and drop it. Again. Again. Again. Again.
3-Brees was off.

That is enough.

If I am not mistaken, there were two solid times the Saints, at least two good solid times in the 3rd and even 4th qtr., where they could have come back and won by a point. It was still within their reach. Their drops did them in.

A win would not make the season today. A lost today is not going to make the Saints season. WRedskins win today is not going to make their season.

We were flat out awful today. No excuse for such piss poor play. Without Sean we are screwed, which is exactly what Godell and the rest of the owners hoped for. They can't have the Saints host their own SB.

What was the Time of Possession? I was at the game, and don't really want to look at stats right now. But it seemed like our D stayed on the field the entire game. And whenever our o was in, they would be in for maybe three plays at best.

I know I am still a little emotional right now, but I think that was the worst performance I have ever seen by our modern day Saints. We looked laughable. Any team could have beat us yesterday. The Falcons will absolutely MURDER us if we play like that.

Also, I watched the Denver game last night, and couldn't help but think that Denver team...w/ Manning...would have won that game last night w/o a head coach. Manning told his agent to get a deal done so he could be with his team, when he decided to go to Denver. AND IT SHOWS!! Our team looked like a team who's leader spent the entire offseason posturing for a better contract. Sorry Drew, but that's just the way it looks to me. Hope I'm wrong.

I didn't understand, since they were so obviously getting huge pressure, why we didn't live off of the screen game and tight end dumps over the line. Seemed like we never made any adjustments to account for the pressure they were getting.

So - thanks to our buddy Isaac - I had to work yesterday & didn't get to watch the game. Did we win??? :)

But seriously, maybe that whole "having a head coach" thing was more important than some of us gave credit. Yeah, the D sucked, we couldn't (or wouldn't) run the ball, etc. But everything I heard on WWL yesterday & pretty much every account I've read today said we showed no fire, no intensity, no heart.

Sounds like some guys didn't "DO YOUR JOB."
