Only one game
 

Listen im a real queit guy, but some of these post on here are killing me. The 9-7 Giants won the Superbowl last year. The same Giants team we beat 49-24. Its one game. We played like crap and still put up 32 points. Listen we are without one of the greatest football minds in the game this year. There are going to be some bumps on this journey fellas. Everyone is mad and some of y'all are jumping off the deep end. You want to bench Colston, fire Spags, get rid of everyone on D, and want to give up on the season already. Come on. This team was built on the impossible. Let's take all this anger and focus on the ass whooping we are going to give Carolina. Who Dat!!!

If being upset about yet another abysmal defensive performance where we let yet another rookie make us look stupid with 300+ yards and 40 freakin points then, well, yeah, I guess I'm headed for the deep end.

Yeah I read these forums every day, but I don't log in much. But seriously, football is all about how you finish. Imo, we finished the game way better than we started. I really doubt we'll lose much of the next few games. They'll get together, learn what the problems are (no coaching, etc) and fix them.

The purpose of a forum is for open critique and criticism. We allow people to vent after losses because that's what fans need to do.

With that said, we have limits. Personal attacks and acting like a jerk will never fly. After a loss like today to think there will be no criticism is rediculous.

As for this thread, I too sit on the more positive side and can't wait to see our boys play next week. All I ask from all our members is please do not judge members based on comments after a loss. People have to vent somewhere. I saw a lot of positive people with their jaws on the ground today. That's totally understandable. I saw a lot of chicken little the sky is falling today, that's also understandable.... but kinda funny.

Yeah that's understandable, just ask how my friends felt from my depressive anger today...But! In my opinion, sit back, relax and don't worry yet!

Honestly we played so poorly with penalties, turnovers, fumbles and flubs, there's no way we can judge this team based on this performance!

Seriously, one of those games were ANYTHING that could go wrong went wrong.

It's natural to feel angry and upset after a loss like that, with everything that has happened during the offseason/preseason and with the high hopes we fans have for the season as New Orleans is hosting the Super Bowl - it's not easy to watch a game like that as the season opener.

But there's always a silver lining to every cloud: I think Shanle got a sack! :-)

you think shanle will be benched now that vilma is back? move curtis lofton to scott's position and put vilma back in his spot in the middle?

I think it will be Hawthorne-Lofton-Casillas/Herring if Shanle's injury was severe enough to warrant him not playing in the upcoming game.

Vilma isn't yet ready to play by all the accounts that I've heard - still rehabbing the knee from the surgery - and his suspension might be reinstated before he'll be healthy enough to take the field, so I wouldn't place much hope on him.

Yeah, most definitely, if Vilma's knee heals up he'll move into the starting line up. I think Lofton, Vilma and Hawthorne are the three best linebackers on the team. I'm not sure which guy would take the middle. I read somewhere that Lofton played outside linebacker a little in college. But who know's maybe it was only a little because he wasn't good at it. I can even imagine Vilma and Lofton swapping that middle position every once in a while just to confuse QBs.

I would think there would be a rotation and Herring, Shanle and Cassilias all rotate in and out at different times depending on game situations.

That's all contingent on Vilma's knee healing up though.

The sky is falling, LOL. They laid an egg, at home, against a team that no one gave a chance. It happens, glad it happened early in the season so we can get it over with really.

I hope you are right. This was a letdown of epic proportions to me. I really bought into everything that was being said. Wouldn't have thought in a million years with the off season we had, our guys would come out un inspired and un motivated looking. Dissapointment is the word that sums it up the best.

I really hope this was just an anomoly. I must say that the doubt has crept in though. I am not as confident as I was before this game. Maybe I had set my self up for disapointment. I really didn't believe that missing SP was going to be a big deal but after that showing of leadership, the inability to adjust on either side of the ball, makes me feel like this may be a long year.

When Vilma returns he'll probably play the middle on passing downs and across from Hawthorne the rest of the time. Lofton is a thumper and good against the run.

Not yesterday he wasn't... I hate to say it, but RGIII looks to be a special player.

RGIII has a better arm than Cam, especially on the run

That was 1 bad game by us but It was 1 game! not the end of the season I do believe we will get it together that doesn't excuse the fact we played terrible we need to step up offensively and defensively I know #TeamKromer wont disappoint #WhoDat!

P.S. we don't go less than 11-5
