Re: NFLPA head writes to Roger Goodell
I like what they're doing. Especially with the other judge waiting to rule until big Rog shows his hand

Re: NFLPA head writes to Roger Goodell
I do think the judge's holding her ruling could be something that actually would lead both sides to actually settle the issue.
Neither side may like the ruling, but the league's appeal board agreed the situation involves more than what falls under the jurisdictioin of Der Kommisar. With the Players the punishment falls under the league and must follow the CBA. I'm not sure about the coaches, but think Der Kommisar REALLY overstepped his boundaries with the coaches suspensions. They fall under the organization and REALLY do not believe the league should be able to suspend someone hired by any of the teams. Punishment of that type should be left to the organization. The coach's suspensions opens too much of a whole the owners may not want. If the league can suspend ANY organizational employee what would stop the league from suspending the members of the scouting department for something determined to be "Conduct Detrimental". |
