Re: Tracy Porter last night...Robert Meachum tonight.
In case I missed anything, meachems 2 catches for 49 yards weren't anything to rave about he did it with us when he was here
For 2 seasons tracy showed lack luster play getting beaten at will, it may have been the switch to Nickel, it may have been the scheme but he's playing well now We have to make sure we don't give him an opportunity to do it to us |
Re: Tracy Porter last night...Robert Meachum tonight.
Meachem was a much biiger loss than Porter.
Porter lost his job to Johnny Patrick. Porter still isn't as good as Robinson/Greer. We probably could have used him Sunday, only because Greer was out and Patrick left the game early with injury. |
Re: Tracy Porter last night...Robert Meachum tonight.
Porter's problem was the scheme. Man-on-man, he's like glue, and as we see, he can still jump the route and get HIS.
Meachem had many big plays with the Saints. Many were key, big scores when we needed to light the fire. Bad move trading him. Horrible move. Now we feel it. We upset the apple cart. Period. Alaska |
Re: Tracy Porter last night...Robert Meachum tonight.
Liked em both when they were here and I don't think we'll overly miss either of them. We should have been strong enough in receivers without him and Porter just wasn't worth that kind of money. But injuries suffered Sunday make us all question this now.

Re: Tracy Porter last night...Robert Meachum tonight.
I agree the Saints could have definitely used both these guys, but this is a salary cap era, so it is what it is. Once the Saints get some DB's healthy again, Porter will be forgotten quick. As for Meachum, basically he was replaced by Joe Morgan as the second deep threat behind Henderson, so as of right now that is obvious the bigger loss.
