Our Saints lost a freaking game!!

Get over it; $hyt happens!!

The Saints haven't gone undefeated in any of the 6 years that Sean Payton has been our HC, so I don't know why anyone would expect the Saints to suddenly do it now!

Yes I realize that the Saints lost to a clearly inferior team, with a rookie QB! I hate to say the Saints were out-coached, but Washington structured their game-plan to RG IIIs strengths, and unfortunately the Saints accomadated them. But despite all of that, the Saints still had a chance to tie and potentially win the game.

Hell, the Saints have a history of making rookie and scrub QBs look like Super Bowl MVPs, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

The Saints lost a game; that is all it is, a stinking loss!!

We could no more call the Saints a lock for the Super Bowl if they had won Sunday, than we can call the season a loss because of this one loss!

Is there room for improvement? Absolutely! Every team that won Week 1 would say they have room for improvement.

I am going to wait until the bye week before I write the season off.


The Saints have entered un-chartered waters, whether the cirumstances that put them there are factual or not.

This is what we get now, we are use to the glory of winning. When we lose, (the team) will be hit and picked apart by every arm chair qb. Lets face it, it was bound to happen.
Just brush it off Whodat656, just let it go. I vented the day of and the day after, but I am back in the front line ready for another week. After being a die hard fan my entire life, I am use to this. This use to be week in and week out, I am sure you remember those days.

Mikemike, where are you going with this? I was sticking up for the fans that do want to *****, they have every right to do so. I do it as well, I was just saying don't let it get you down about it.
And where did I call anyone here a kid? Good for you if you have a ticket stub from 67, I would to if I was that old. If you want to know how old I am or my allegiance with this team. Im 42, and have been going to the games with my father since I was 6. Then when I was old enough to buy season tickets, guess what I did, and held them until the 05 season. So their is your answer my old friend.
So I wasn't complaining about anyone who has a complaint, I do it also..

Penalties are the easiest thing to fix so I'm confident it won't be an issue this weekend. That alone will fix a lot of problems.

Ok, I vented too right after the game. But theres a couple of things about this loss that should have all of us concerned. First, we were at home, our Saints haven't looked this out of sync at home in a long long time. Secondly it was opening day, if there was ever a game where the team needed to make a statement, it was this one. The only statement made on Sunday was, without Sean we rudderless after all and Godell won. I caan only hope we do better this week in charlotte.
