Last week we looked like warmed over SHIIT. You guys are better than that. This game is a must win. Yes it is only the second game but we cannot drop two games back to back to conference opponents one of which being a division rival. The Panthers will be ready for blood because we ran up the score on them and they are pussiies. You better bring it because if you don't their will be dire consequences. Everytime Drew throws and interception, someone drops a pass, someone fumbles the ball, or Roman Harper blows coverage, some poor cancer kid will die. So save the cancer kids, their life is in your hands. Plus we will all be pretty pissed off and have to read threads like "Who are we going to pick with the 1st overall pick of the draft" or "Should we put in Daniels". Don't make us have to read threads of putting in Daniels. For the love of God please win.

Sean has always said that to find a place on this roster a player had to show three things. Character, toughness, and intelligence. These were his core beliefs as well as this team’s core belief. Look around this locker room. We have that here. If you have that black and gold uniform on you have those traits…if you didn’t you simply wouldn’t be here. Your toughness is going to get us through this season and ultimately achieve the goal we set forth and that is to be back in the Superdome on February 3, 2013.

Obviously last week’s results is not what we intended. Looking back on that game it shows what happens when we don’t play to our potential. It’s hard to win when we make mistakes that we as professionals should not be making. We have not gotten to the point we have in the NFL since 2006 by making many mistakes like the ones made last Sunday. You can’t win the Super Bowl by making these mistakes. The good news is that It was only week one. We can fix those mistakes starting today against the Panthers. As far as we are concerned a totally new season starts for us. It’s time to take care of business the way the New Orleans Saints normally handle business. One loss is not going to move us off the course we have set for ourselves to win the Super Bowl at home in the dome. Nine super bowl champions have lost their opening game of the season. Three super bowl champion teams have started the season 0-2. This shows that no matter how last week turned out the season is not over.

You guys that have been here know what we as a team are capable of doing week in and week out. You new guys, you were brought in because you have the traits that we look for that have made us successful. You are the building blocks for a champion. Each and every one of you is a puzzle piece and together when it’s all said and done will be the picture of a Super Bowl Champion. Holding up that trophy for our city, for our region, for our team in our HOME! Keep your eye on the prize boys; the NFL is no cake walk. Let’s go out there today an show the panthers while they may be getting better we are still the top dog in this division. We are walking out of this stadium with a WIN! Don’t Let Up!!!
