Saints re-signed CB Elbert Mack.

Mack was dumped in favor of Jerome Murphy early this month. Now that Murphy has been waived, Mack gets another shot at the final cornerback spot.

I can't think of an example right now, but sometimes in the past they dump somebody like this at the bottom of the roster, because they have their eye on somebody else at the same position, but they think is more upside or slightly better. Or they look at him and say why the **** not, Joe CB off the street can't be any worse than this cat. Throwing guys at the wall, see who sticks. Or maybe it's for Marquis, could be.

Just to add to this..WWL text that Saints signed Mack and reached an INJURY settlement with AA??????????????? Somebody please explain to me what the point of bringing AA back was??????? Did we feel bad for him and wanted to give him some cash???? We were done and scott free of him but we bring him back so we can pay him for a settlement?? :bang::bang::bang:
