Re: Drew Brees: “We Can Get This Thing Back on Track Very Quickly”
Did it make a difference when he missed them last year, because of the lockout, and we wound up going 13-3, won the division, and a Wild Card game, and nearly won the divisional round? I mean, it obviously messed Drew's game up so much that he only passed for 5,476 yards and set the record for highest completion percentage, most 300+ yard passing games in a season, and most prolific total offense ever. And a bunch more records. How dare he!
We all know 2011 was a total bust because Drew did not have those workouts. |

This year he missed time when everybody else was getting work in. I don't see how that's hard to understand. Success is directly correlated to the amount of work you put in, and when you miss prep time, it's going to affect the final product. Does that mean Drew isn't a complete stud? That he won't turn it around? Not at all, it's an attempt to explain why he's not as sharp as he was last year. But if you guys want to blindly accept mediocrity, be my guest. Drew is known as a relentless worker, but when you miss time (voluntarily or involuntarily), you're not going to be as sharp. Some of you homers get your panties in a wad if anything negative is said, I'm just trying to explain potential reasons why he's got the 28th best QB rating thus far. |
