Re: Who will Drew trust to tie Unitas's record?
Say if Drew throws it and it gets deflected by a defender, pops back into Drew's arms, he runs it in for a TD, would that count? Hey, as weird as this season is going, who knows... lol On a serious note, I will go with Thomas on a screen play.

Re: Who will Drew trust to tie Unitas's record?
I'd like for it to be Colston, just because they have been such a prolific duo for so long now.
I wouldn't mind seeing one of those patented, wide-open bombs to Devery, though. |

I voted for 'someone unexpected' just because that's how the season's been going, 'unexpected'. When (not if) he breaks that record, I'm really going to reflect on what a great QB Drew Brees is. This (Unitas) was a record for the ages, one I thought would never be broken. This is like Cal Ripken Jr. surpassing DiMaggio and Gehrig's MLB consecutive games records, like Gordie Howe playing hockey in six consecutive decades. I'm sure he'll say he'd rather be 4-0 or 3-1 rather then have a personal record, but there's no denying the consistency & excellence it takes to break a record like this, or even come close. |
