Packers' Next Opponent: Saints
Green Bay - Was it almost inevitable that the New Orleans Saints were bound for oblivion in 2012 without Sean Payton, their suspended coach?
It's starting to look that way. The Saints, one of just two winless teams despite playing probably the softest portion of their schedule, meet the Green Bay Packers Sunday at Lambeau Field. "That ship is so close to sinking even though they have a Super Bowl MVP at quarterback," an executive in personnel said Wednesday. "Seems like they're just trying to hang on, bail water, until those guys get back." Payton is gone for the season after being suspended for his role in the bounty scandal. Joe Vitt, the assistant head coach, must sit out the first six games. Aaron Kromer, the offensive line coach, is serving as interim coach until Vitt's return. "I found it kind of funny that the guy they named as head coach was the run-game coordinator," the scout said. "This is a team that really doesn't run the ball. They throw it 50 times a game. Hope this "sinking ship" floats long enough to beat the pack. If not there is always the next week.

Re: Packers' Next Opponent: Saints
We just need the offense to help out the defense... If they can minimize the amount of points like the KC game, Drew better have the offense "clicking"

Sustain longer drives keeping the defense fresh, 3 and outs on the short side of the field, converting touchdowns in the redzone, and turnovers.
They work hand and hand. |
Re: Packers' Next Opponent: Saints
How about this... Stop letting punts fall on the 3 yard line
