My fellow WhoDats... if the draft was next week or so, in your honest opinion what would our biggest positional needs be and who would you draft? lets get a top 5 list going.

Just a few examples on the Defensive side of the ball:

CB - David Amerson, NC State
LB - Manti, Notre Dame
CB - Xavier Rhodes, Florida State
S - TJ Mcdonald, USC
DE - Alex Okafor/Jackson Jeffcoat, Texas

I say Joeckel or Matthews from texas a&m. Definately need help on offensive line to protect our 100 million dollar man. If not O line then d line. We have to start winning the battle in the trenches. Spags' scheme is all about the front 4 getting pressure. If we can generate a push with the front 4 our corners and safeteys will look a lot better

We will need another DT to take Sed the eggs spot, if not to start then for depth, and if we want send Jenkins to the SS spot then we need to trade him and draft an excellent FS for the backfield, now as much as it pains me to say this and truefully it does Shanle s replacement will be drafted in the draft, I hope we get one as reliable as he has been, father time is catching up with him. He has been the most dependable lb. we have had in years, I will miss him as a starter.

Mingo would be a great pick. DT is needed but too early to know what Hicks may do. Ellis will be there for depth next year. He will recieve a small contract do to his inconsistant play. Mingo could be moved to olb because of size issues and be very affective.

OLB, FS, DE, DT, WR and OT is what we need

in other words, a hell of alot!

Like I said, I would only expect him to sign a small contract for depth. No one will break the bank on that trash.

Damn, let's wait till we're eliminated or we won't have anything to talk about during the long, cold offseason...

Besides, I'm clinging to hope we can pull something out...

As far as draft, we need a better scouting department and general manager that can make better picks in the first and second round when we have picks...

And wouldn't it be some crappe if we just locked into Drew and ended up with a top 5 pick and a quarterback fell into our laps?!?

Amerson got exposed big time in the Miami game and I'm an NC State supporter.

I hate to say it but there's not a ton of help in the college ranks. A lot of the juniors already got called up to the NFL last year. College defenses are really struggling this year.
