Saints kick tires on five receivers
 

At a time when the Jets should be looking for help at receiver (more on that in a bit), the Saints have brought in five wideouts for a tire-kicking.

A league source says the Saints worked out Brian Robiskie, Deon Butler, Jason Hill, Rasheed Davis, and Preston Parker.

This was my first thought also.

Seems like they would be kicking tires on anyone available for the DL. This team needs some push up front to help the guys in coverage out.

I dont know anything about the 5 players listed.

Wonder if the Saints will bring in Burress, Chad or TO; probably could sign all 3 dirt cheap!

Concerned. Bringing in that many tires says a couple are about to be changed due to wear and tear. They are testing out the whole used rack. You only do that if you need something long term.

I agree! I LOVE that kid.

I'll also say this. It takes ALOT for my wife to notice any one person stand out. During the preseason she kept saying look at Tanner go, I hope he makes the team. Anyhoo I think he deserves a shot.

Lets look at what they are trying to bring in and what we have?

Our two main guns Colston and gram are not speed and quickness guys. Rarely is there great separation, they are athletic and Drew threads the needle.

Are the WR they are trying out speed and quickness guys?

Seems to me the current management/ coaching has no clue on what their doing. They don't need receivers, THEY NEED DEFENSIVE HELP PARTICULARLY ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE?

Well, we re-signed Camarillo and cut Mack again.

Preston Parker was a fantasy sleeper pick last year. I'd like to see what he can do.
