Greg Camarillo ?
Signed and Cut this guy several times , he looked reliable to me catching everything thrown his way in clutch situations . I like his style , I know we have Lance Moore but something seemed to click in a way our Offense hasn't seen in a long while.
It seemed to me when the Defense became too over agressive containing Graham and Colston he was there to keep things in perspective and move the chains. I also noticed he seemed to be open than other guys maybe because of the magnitude of the other targets , Just saying , Brees rarely had to zip any on the needle type throws to him which tells me he runs the routes perfectly. I don't know where he fits in if Lance is Healthy but he proved to be that reliable guy we haven't had so far. |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Yeah the announcers were just saying how he was only brought in a couple weeks ago and then he caught a slant for 7 yards and a first down
He and brees worked out in the Summer together and have some chemistry, when you watch him run, his routes were crisp and fast, the D probably thought the last person that will get the ball is Camarillo But he kept on moving the chains, I think he's a good player and liked him when he played for the dolphins |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
... could be another "Victor Cruz" in the making, eh? I was impressed with the guy.

I can only hope so ... There should be no logical way for a defense to cover Colston Henderson Graham Sproles and anyone else who steps in the rotation all at once. |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
He's Lance Moore's replacement until Moore returns...
we've got burners in Henderson and Morgan... he's great depth when Moore returns - who knows, maybe he can even push Moore... Has been your traditional walk on, prove yourself type of guy, hard worker - I like him already 2005 FA Rookie with Chargers 2008 Received a 6mil Ext; Bad Break - Season Ending Knee Injury 2009 He Did Not Drop A Pass - None 2010 Traded to Vikings 2012 Released, Saints Sign I really liked that we got him back and if he can physically perform, the Saints should make a commitment to him as good hands in this league are a commodity... |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Saints should really study this guy for the long haul...
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
This guy should dress week in and week out.
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Considering our history with original Chargers players.......
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Wasn't Camarillo brought in originally, and again this week, because he has sure hands?
He preformed and that's all I want to know. In some ways glad Moore was recouping on the bench. He was literally driving me nuts with the dropped passes this season. Let's hope he returns with a cleared mind and cured of Dropsie Syndrome. |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Yeah Camarillo did play well so a taller Moore but we need more of a deep threat but he's a keeper!
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
whats with moore anyway, one week hes joe hero and the next pulls lame hammy again. something to do with the drop-I -dos. he always redeems himself in some way after my post so lets see.

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Lance is the 24hour McLovin Machine - Girls are banging on the door for him...
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Camarillo was a good receiver last night. Stand out? I don't know.
However, he does seem to be reliable and that is critical right now. |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
All I know is he played well so IMO he can (should) stick around.
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
GC got good hands. Therefore we keep.

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
I dont know if anyone noticed but Graham and Moore hasnt been exactly "Sure Handed" as we know them to be...with that said Morgan had ONE good play this season...I Think GC is a great addition to the Offense....Colston Henderson GC and a healthy moore should be the WR chart
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
I think he fits our offense better than Minnesota's. And playing with Brees will make you look better! Definitely good to have depth and options.
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
He was money last night. Caught everything, I did see Joe drop one.... Again
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Personally, I think Joe Morgan has to be on the hot seat when Moore returns. He may be a speedster, which Camarillo is not, but he has dropped a ton of passes. Camarillo can catch and he can run precise routes. I didn't dislike him in training camp, but I didn't think there was room for him. After seeing all the drops from other guys, specifically Morgan, I think Camo is a keeper now.

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Looks solid and healthy. I like him. good depth, and who knows what he could develop into?

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Wonder if Camarillo is going to get included more in some packages; he was also a very good downfield blocker in Miami in addition to his sure hands...

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Camarillo is at the end of his career. He's never going to get the big paycheck, he's never going to be considered a marginally elite receiver. This is it for him. He's playing with a big chip on his shoulders which I commend. He's going out there and leaving it all on the field. Someone like that can be extremely dangerous on the right team and I think that is what we got. I see him having some big performances when teams start sleeping on him.

Re: Greg Camarillo ?
What kind of speed is this guy packing anyway??? I didn't think he got enough mention for his contributions last week as well.

Beast - Im not sure how 8th year is end of his career. That would put Colston near the end of his career also. |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
Found this FOUR pages back.
He got used like a high-dollar hooker who passed out after ONE. I still say he's worth keeping. Alaska |
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
I didn't hear his name called sunday. Was he active.
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
No, he got cut to make room for Vilma to return. He is on the couch, and I'm sure the Saints have his number on speed dial if they should need it. He may be back! He's just one of those guys bouncing around at the bottom of the roster.
|
Re: Greg Camarillo ?
I understand. He'll be back.
