Yes, Saints coach Sean Payton was allowed to attend Sunday night’s game between the Chargers and the Saints.

No, the Saints weren’t allowed to acknowledge it via their in-house camera system.

Jay Glazer of FOX noted during the game that the league prohibited the Saints from showing images of Payton on the video board.

Glazer referred to the item as coming from the “department of the absurd,” and tagged it with “give me a break.”

I was wondering about that during the game. Goodell is a weenie. There I said it. I'm glad I'm not his kid -- can you imagine if you were his son or daughter, what a clueless jerk of a father he would be?

it would have sparked off some really naughty cheering. after i first saw payton in the box i had goose bumps. we miss the man. then i atomaticly said that fff---in goodel. so i'm sure they had a reason not to spark a goodell sucks or worse on tv.

Or maybe they were worried Payton would have given the team hand signals like the chunky chick in the small box on your TV during a Telethon.

The showed him on the big screen briefly during the anthem. The crowd went nuts.

IMHO ... I really think Goodell has it in for Sean Payton. Either coach snubbed him, didn't like what he said in an interview or something, he may think the Saints has rouge coaches (vicodin, bounty, the onside kick in the Super Bowl - each year it seems a new rule is in place after the Saints has done something type issues) can someone go deeper/further into the Goodell Conspiracy?
