I think we split Carolin and Atlanta and sweep Tampa Bay.
Denver has been playing fairly well also, meaning they really haven't been blown out and they seem to be getting it together also.
Not sure yet about the Giants and 49er's.

simple formula...defense plays like a mid tier defense...we can win

Just so glad, so glad they won. For their self-confidence as a team. For winning on a night game and at home and of course, really historic night for Brees on the Saints team breaking Unitas record. This was major , a major win for the Saints since this season has been so , well, not so.
It was a good game. It was a W.
A win is a win is a win.
A lost is a lost is a lost.
My take on the gam,e:
Attaboys, remember when Mora used to give Attaboys Praise to those of players of the week...well,
Colston, Ingram , Camarillo, Graham and of course, Brees to Henderson in 1st qrtr.
Harper made up the 4th qrtr. for mistakes earlier.
3rd qrtr. Colston, Thanks God Colston about :20, :11 at end of 3rd qrtr. had a td. Saints 21, SD 24 at that time. Colston really worked hard that game.1st qrtr. Roby on Sp. Teams took down SD #11. Good time, good play.
4th qrtr. Attaboy to Galette.
2nd qrtr. Smith sack made up for mistake earlier.
I esp. like how in 4th qrtr. the defense started really playing like a defense side should play.
Whatever the turnaround was in attitude at the 4th qrtr., they need to start that in the 1st qrtr.
I tried to keep notes on each qrtr. so I would not forget some things.
Good post x626x. One more thing, Saints had fewer penalities and turnovers this game.
Yes, saintfan and x626x, I hope this is a real turnaround for the Saints. I think so. They now can remember oh, what it is like to win.
They do not want to go go back weeks 1-4.

The defense only gave up 136 total yards in the second half... I'm still astonished at the second half turnaround, just like in the GB game.

The win definately made it easier to get up and make it through the Monday, even if we're just 1-4...

I can finally see the light when it comes to the defense, they actually preserved the win last night!

This is what the bird droppings will feel when they have to play the Saints!

No longer in total shock that we started 0-4, we were able to sober up and visit the outside world today.

jumping the gun a bit... we have a tough schedule ahead. In order for us to have a shot at going 10-6 we must establish the run and improve our run D. Can that happen, sure. Will it happen, I dont know.

I do want to see how the team responds with a W under their belt. I also want to see if Vitt can bring some swagger back to the team... We have talent (except on the D line) we need heart!

Defense still scares me. We are going to have to keep scoring A LOT of points if we want to win or hope the D gets better as the year goes on

Re: And the day after a Win!

It is you who wants to be right. If you understood anything about human nature, you would know that forums are more a place to vent. When we're happy, we celebrate, go get some fast food and have a little party. We carry a smile on our face a little more often. The first instinct isn't to get online. I don't even vent immediately after a loss. It usually takes at least a day before I even want to talk about it, but people in general need to vent more than they need to express happiness. The happy thing takes care of itself.

I was thrilled with the win lastnight, and I still am. If you want me to congratulate you that we are still 1-4, however, that isn't going to happen.

Nobody said we were going 0-16, and I'm still holding faint hopes of making the playoffs. But this win doesn't make anybody wrong that we were playing horrible before. You really think we enjoyed watching this team lose, so we could be right? If we did we wouldn't be complaining, would we? But you seem to think this is some type of competition. If that's what you want, I'd be glad to give you the victory. I want the Saints to win.
