Re: Terry Bradshaw didn’t like how Drew Brees celebrated his record-breaking TD
One word. Jealous.

Re: Terry Bradshaw didn’t like how Drew Brees celebrated his record-breaking TD
My take --
Terry stuck his neck out for the Saints. Remember him calling out Roger Whatshisname a while back? Well. We've been SUCKING ever since and he felt let down. For the same reason that alot of us have been dogging. Brees is overpaid for a one-trick-pony. Just a little devil's advocate here... FLAME away. Terry loves his Saints. Well, until we started SUCKING the life out of our games. Alaska |

I am getting fed up of people belittling the accomplishments the man has made, though. 'It's easier these days as it's a Quarterback's league'. Really, well in that case why hasn't anyone else managed to achieve what he has? How long have Peyton Manning and Tom Brady been doing what they do, and they haven't managed it? No-one in NFL history has reached 30,000 yards quicker in 100 games than Brees has. Yeah, it's easier alright. That's why every Quarterback in the modern era has done it...sorry, no they haven't. |

Another player that gets a job as an "analyst"
The term is used very lightly in a lot cases, Bradshaw just added himself to the likes of - sapp, deion sanders, Michael Irvin as people that believe they know what they are talking about because they were great players but in reality....there nothing more than a bunch of overpaid delusional morons Shut up terry, no one cares what you think |
Re: Terry Bradshaw didn’t like how Drew Brees celebrated his record-breaking TD
Don't care.

Originally I stated that nobody was belittling his accomplishments, but then I realized that by making the statement about the frequency of Brees' pass attempts he was in fact belittling to a certain degree. My problem is that I agree with everything...even the part about how more likely someone who passes that often would be to break a record like that. If you were a great QB and had Jim Brown in the backfield, I don't think you would be as likely to break the record...but that's going off on a tangent. Brees' record is a great accomplishment, no doubt, no matter how many times he averages throwing per game. My big gripe with him is that he points out his stats and accomplishments too easily, and I never did care for the rah-rah stuff. It is great relief to me to see that at least 1 other person...2 if you count Alaska :)...sees it!! |
Re: Terry Bradshaw didn’t like how Drew Brees celebrated his record-breaking TD
take it with a grain of salt.
I dont really care about records either. For one thing, big stats make your players cost more. Bradshaw does have one record that will always matter: 4 |

Sounds just like a selfish man: Nothing but we's and they's.

Re: Terry Bradshaw didn’t like how Drew Brees celebrated his record-breaking TD
One thing that no one is really talking about in all this (and seems to be going way over Terry Bradshaw's big bald head, as well as a few others) is that what Drew did was actually a very CHRISTIAN and caring thing to do, not for himself or his ego but for Payton, Vitt and Loomis, just as people he loves....in Christianity we don't throw away our sinners, we don't shun them, we forgive them and love them and try and restore them. Jesus himself went and hung out with the sinners and the lowest of people, and loved them and said "no, we are not going to abandon you, you have sinned and that's not cool, but you can become good again if you just do X, Y, and Z, then you can find your way back to us"
If Sean Payton is really so big bad and evil as some people (Goodell) say he is, or want us to believe he is, then this is an important step in his rehabilitation, to show that he is still welcome to be a part of the community, that people in his life still care about him, that Drew as a Christian is not giving up on Payton, or any of those three guys for that matter. |
