League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
So much for protecting whistleblowers.
The lengthy memorandum issued by the NFL to all teams on Tuesday regarding the re-issued discipline in the Saints bounty scandal identifies former Vikings defensive lineman Jimmy Kennedy as the person who originally told former Vikings coach Brad Childress in early 2010 that the Saints had a bounty on former Vikings quarterback Brett Favre in the 2009 NFC title game. (The memo says that Kennedy was interviewed, but it says nothing about whether Kennedy retracted his claim. A prior memo issued by the league, back when protecting whistleblowers was a supposed priority, indicated that an unnamed Vikings player had come forward in early 2010, but that the player thereafter rescinded his contention.) It’s not the first time Kennedy has been linked to the Saints bounty scandal. The sworn declaration submitted by former Saints defensive end Anthony Hargrove explained that former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams told Hargrove that Kennedy had said Hargrove told Kennedy about the bounty on Favre. At the time, Kennedy vehemently denied the contention via Twitter League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies it | ProFootballTalk |

Re: League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
Hell if Kennedy was never interviewed...
Ginsberg needs to depose him and put him on the stand in court, right after Childress steps off. |
Re: League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
How's he a whistleblower if he was never employed by the Saints?
Anyway, yet another faux pas taken by Jolly Roger. |
Re: League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
Roger says, "Kennedy said so."
Kennedy says, "I didn't say it." Roger says, "That's pretty solid then. They're guilty." LMAO It's worse than a Kangaroo court. |

Some of Jimmy Kennedy's Tweets yesterday.
--"It's really starting to bother me. How can the NFL continue to say I told them about Bounty & they interviewed me? THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!" --"A memo sent to ALL 32 Teams, Stating I Snitched & said something about N.O bounty program. How can I do that as a VIKING?" --"This Sucks! I NEVER interviewed with anyone from #NFL, No NFL Security, Not Goodell, NO ONE!" --"My Integrity & Character means the world to me. I respect this game & my fellow players. I have always been a loyal Friend & Teammate." --"It bothers me that the respect of my Peers & Coaches is in Jeopardy because of this. So for the last time, I NEVER INTERVIEWED WITH THE NFL!" --"I NEVER TOLD ANYONE ABOUT A BOUNTY PROGRAM THAT I DIDNT/WOULDNT KNOW OF. I NEVER TALKED TO HARGROVE OR ANY SAINTS PLAYER ABOUT THE PROGRAM" Sounds like Goodell's got a rock solid case here. Kennedy denies bounty whistleblowing |

I'm still waiting for the janitor to get involved in this. Seems like he's been a little to quiet lately. Anyone seen or heard from him since this bounty thing came out? How about his sister's cousin's boyfriend?

Re: League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
Well if Goodell says this guy is the snitch, then he IS the snitch, he's guilty, no evidence needed, it's up to him to clear his name. Let his reputation be trashed, and I wouldn't be surprised if no NFL player ever respects or speaks to him again.
Meanwhile some certain people we know, have fricking stood up for themselves and sued Rodger Goodell in court, for saying things about them that aren't true -- let's see if this guy has anything by way of manhood other than just a bunch of desperate Tweeting. Let this guy deal with the moving goalposts and changing stories and squirming backpedaling statements of Rodger Goodell for a while, see how he likes it. Looks like the Goodell virus is spreading to other teams. I'm sure Vikings fans and Goodell will ignore this inconvenient truth that doesn't fit their story, even though Goodell is reaming the personal integrity of one of their own players now. I want to feel for this guy, but then again, I'm like, YOU deal with Rodger bro, YOU try and put him in check. He's coming for YOU now. Who is gonna be next? |
Re: League outs Jimmy Kennedy as 2010 whistleblower, Kennedy denies
Hargrove probably ran his dumb a$$ mouth to Kennedy after he left then when he realized he opened up a serious can of trouble, they recanted one by one...
My problem is you got a he said he said situation that you use for evidence against the Saints, but... Despite broadcast on both television and radio of current, former Bears, Redskins, Bills, et al saying that the bounty practice is common in the league, you're going to pursue to low profile second string defensive tackles as your lynch-pin case?!? V is for Vendetta Goodell; did Payton make your gal bark like a dog back in college or something?!? ...I probably shouldn't have posted that...WTH!?! |
