Will Payton ever speak up on this?

Hypothetically, if vilma wins and all this is proven to be a sham, will payton speak up? He has follwed this @$$ clowns rules perfectly. I want him back. it might be too late though...

Payton has nothing backing him. There is no CBA protecting him.

Maybe his lawyer might have something to say but Sean is going to be quiet. Even if he is reinstated expect him to "no comment".

He will be quite until it is all said and done. Have to remember, he is a master-mind.

He should have patience of a lizard and a memory of a elephant, he will get the last words when the time is right.

I agree he may be quite even after reinstatement... Any comments will only come from someone leaking the information...

I expect SP's actions may speak louder than any words he may have...

The team may put the pedal to the floor and not stop until Payton is satisfied with the results...

I have never heard him say there was not something that needed to be corrected...

There is no union for ol' Sean. Even if the player's are deemed completely innocent Sean is still f'd. There is no avenue for a coach to appeal a suspension. Sad but true.

He is not allowed to have direct contact with the team. Does that mean his lawyer can't have contact with Benson? Benson is Goodell's "boss" (along with the other owners). Payton's lawyer needs to be in Benson's office every day appealing to get him reinstated.

Payton needs to stay out of the fray for now. We need him back ASAP!

I think he'll speak his mind when the time comes, but I don't expect that to be anytime soon... probably another book deal after he retires from active coaching.

Expect him reinstated early. Yes this year. But there will still be conditions. And the NFL will not allow comment once this is over. Must protect the shield.

Will Payton ever speak up on this?
Yes, if he wants to no longer be in the NFL.
Really, he cannot.

Re: Will Payton ever speak up on this?

He will be reinstated this year. The PA will crucify Taglibue on knowledge and acceptance of smash for cash program in 96. Taglibue said at that time that as long as wasn't for illegal hits or exorbitant amounts of money it was ok. There has been no change of policy. The Nfl is saying it was pay for injury and illegal hits. They will lose and all penalties will be reduced or overturned and Vilma will be a hero, known as the man who brought an empire to his knees. Without him nothing happens and Goodell continues his reign of terror. Who dat
