6 pt dogs at Denver

Best thing about this game is that it is in primetime and we always play good on the national stage...

Yeah but still, we'll be lucky if all we lose by is 6 pts. Hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong too. This is a scary game. If we don't generation pressure on Manning, we are in trouble.

Time for the defensive line to step their game up, no pass rush will make for a long night against the Broncos

I know it is probably black & gold colored glasses, but something makes me think that this is the game where the D turns the corner.

ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE that the D is close - but I have a hunch they show up. Not dominant, but respectable.

if this were a normal sunday game, I'd give it to Denver....but for some reason, prime time we shine. Remember, our first win on of the season came from a Sunday nighter.

I'm with arsaint on this...I think the D will show up big this week...nothing but a hunch, but I think Vitt will light some fire for them.

We deserve to be 6 pt dogs at least. I agree, if we don't make Peyton rush he will murder our lack of coverage.

Brees will need to score 40+ for us if our defense doesn't overachieve significantly.

Denver, much like us, seem to spend half a game spotting the other team a bunch of points and a half kicking ass and trying to dig themselves out of a hole. I think this one could go either way and should be interesting to watch.

I also suggest grabbing an extra six pack for this one.

I agree, this is gonna be a must see. Not only for Bronco's & Sant's fans, but NFL fans in general. In addition to the extra 6pack, some extra mojo on our part as fans couldn't hurt either.

My only problem with primetime games is it always takes me a while to come down enough to go to bed. Either too excited or too mad.

Re: 6 pt dogs at Denver

My gut feeling on this Denver game is that somebody is gonna get a cheap score, an easy score -- a turnover on the 2, or somebody scoops up a fumbled kickoff and runs it in for a touchdown, that type of thing. Both teams and both QBs will do what they always do, stack up yards and drives and heroic plays and the occasional wild, out-of-the-blue interception; and that stuff will kinda cancel each other out. Both teams are scoring machines, but the cheep unxpected scores, or complete freak plays and one-in-a-million screwups, of balls bouncing off helmets and into somebody's arms who is running the other way, muffed kicks, those types of plays are potentially gonna be the difference maker.

Who can dig themselves the shallow-est hole.
And climb out with 4 seconds remaining.

There you go; your preview.

If Hicks can get some pressure up the middle maybe our ends can get some results. If Peyton is left alone it will be a long night.

Re: 6 pt dogs at Denver

Like has been said already; collapsing the pocket is the key to the win. Like Phillip Rivers, Manning is not too mobile and can't run from Galette, Wilson, and Hicks...

Denver has one good defensive showing - against Oakland.

I fell like we're gonna score. I also fell like they're gonna score. It'll be a shootout. Could be a special teams play or team with the last possession kinda game...

Bam!! This is the key. Force Manning to move from the pocket

You have to believe at some point or another they end up holding someone to 10 pts or under.

I mean hell, under Gary Gibbs bend dont break style of defense, some teams were held to 10 or less pts, some games under 20 pts.

Stop Magahee and we win. Broncos receivers don't scare me, and Peyton is not 100% yet.

we better arrive in Denver today to get used to the thin air. Otherwise, take Denver and give the points.
