Re: Free Sean Payton Shirt + Roger Goodell= Priceless
Ole Roggie looks like he just sharted a little. Probably would've rather been any where else on the face of the earth, than been there at that moment in time.

That's a pretty good size boy. Why didn't he punch Goodell in the nose while he had a chance?

Anyhoot... I must have missed the part that defines him as an "american hero"? |

2009ring also shared his impression of Goodell, who seems like he was a good sport about the shirt thing,
This man is a pure PR machine. He exudes a personality that makes you want to like him. Frankly, if I didn't know what I know about him, I probably would have fallen for it. But it's easy to see why the media fawns all over him. The fact that he presents himself the way he does is either maniacal genius or borderline sociopath. I'm leaning on option 2. If he's a genius then why is he stepping away from a situation he created. |

Mr. Commissioner. Do you believe the fans have a right to see each and every piece of evidence in the Saints' pay-for-performance case?"
"You are going to have to ask Mr. Paul Tagliabue. You see, I've been asked to step away for undisclosed reasons. I will say I stand by my decesion making process, not the one on the replacement refs, or the Hardgrove recording, or the leger account, I screwed those up. Players now are just coming out and saying they are going to knock people out with no bounties so as you can see I'm totally bewildered and disoriented at this point." |

Re: Free Sean Payton Shirt + Roger Goodell= Priceless
SaintsBro, that's a good comparison. Reminds me of what someone told me about David Duke once. When Duke was a young man he would draw huge crowds on campus at LSU. People hated him but he just had the gift of gab and could really get in your mind. You could go from thinking he was a horrible person to thinking, wait a minute, he makes some great points, not that bad of a fella. That kind of person is very very dangerous.
To think he was in a runoff for Governor of La not that long ago is mind boggling considering his strong ties to an organization that is the epitome of hatred and racism. It does not surprise me that Roger has that ability because he certainly had no experience dealing with pro athletes or the law. He was not even the leading candidate for the job. There was another vote and he won the runoff. |
