Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Chris says no comment on being traded. And he says he's frustrated, Plus there is no commutation between him and the coaches as to why he is not on the field.
We are dead last 32 in the league in the run. Please play this kid WWL - AM870 | FM105.3 | News | Talk | Sports - 10-24 Chris Ivory |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Unleash his frustration by using him 5-10 run plays a game, he'll be fine then. How the Saints going to trade him if teams have no film on him this year?
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Perhaps if he didn't butter his hands during the preseason he'd be seeing the ball right now. He's partly to blame.
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
I'm sure they don't want to make ANY moves without the blessing of Loomis and/or Payton, but jeez, now seems like a GREAT opportunity to 'sell high' on Ivory to somebody like the Cards or Redskins
but that lingering doubt about the continued health of our stable is a good reason why they could want to hang onto him. Plus, bringing him in late season gives us a sort of ace up our sleeve, in that people haven't really seen TOO much of him recently, and he could be a new wrinkle for a DC to contend with toward the end of the season |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Hey at least try him. If he drops the rock then move his ass back. We got to do something
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Our running game isn't doing anything
As its been said, give him some carries if he messes up, back on the bench |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
If we play him and he costs us the game by fumbling, our season is friggin over.
I trust the coaches decision on this one, either way. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Not an Ivory fan.
Yes, he runs like Ironhead but he fumbles and he's been injured every year since he entered college. He may have been the ideal 3rd back until Ingram was drafted. And we all know Ingram is "safe" for now. This kid needs to keep quiet because what they're missing AINT Chris Ivory. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
I believe he's in the last year of his contract. I don't have a clue as to what the front office is going to do with him.
Don't forget about Cadet now......that kid's got some serious potential. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Maybe they are keeping ivory for the final year of his contract just incase one of our RB's gets injured, then probably cut him at the end of the year
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Danno is right, that style of running could do more harm than good right now. The run game sucks but it would suck even more fumbling and Ivory will fumble running like that, it's inevitable. Can't have that right now. A turnover with our inability to stop anything is a death sentence.
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
I'm to understand that Ivory also isn't the most sound blocker for Drew, i.e., picking up blitzers
If that's the case, his SHOULD stay on the bench, no sense risking Mr. Brees cause Ivory is frustrated about his touches. Learn2block, then complain |

Trade? theres no market for RB's we wont get nothing for him...and cutting him and let some team pick him up so he can kill us when we play him...no no no just give the kid a shot he cant be any worse

But I am all for running this kid, they have to do something, hell if the staff is worried about him putting it on the ground costing us a game. Let him run it until half time. Then use PT, after he wears them out. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Borderline MALPRACTICE.
Freeing Sean Payton is beyond our control. Freeing Chris Ivory should be priority number f*****' ONE right now with NO RUN GAME. This is getting ridiculous. Last time I looked, Pierre Thomas was the last one who assisted in losing a game by fumbling a football out of the backfield and we LOVE P.T. Just because you've got Mark Ingram on your fantasy football team and you keep playing him hoping he'll break out is no reason to overlook the best running back on the New Orleans Saints NOT named Pierre Thomas. Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Better yet, put him in the game and DON'T give him the football. There will be 20 yards of open field just behind the tightly lined-up linebackers worth exploiting with Jimmy, Lance, Marques, Devrey or Joe.
Rant complete. No charge... THIS time... LOL Love you guys! Alaska |

I'd like to see Ivory with the ball as much as anybody (except maybe you lol) but the thought of him giving up the ball and giving Peyton Manning an extra possession... yikes. scary. Also, if the coaches say he's still coughing it up to OUR defense in practice that's also sorta unnerving, cause he's going against the guys that DON'T start |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
If offense was the problem I'd be much more in favor of changing things up. Sometimes it does provide a spark.
But Ingram isn't the problem with the run game. If PT is running worse than Ingram, do you actually thing Ivory will be any better? Is Ivory better than PT? |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
PT needs to get the ball more, he's the best running back on our team.
The last thing we need is more crippling turnovers from Mr. Ivory. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
There are acceptable levels of a run game with Brees and we got it right now. 2-3 yards is enough. The last two games the play action has been effective because believe it or not, teams do respect our RB's. That says to me don't mess with the only thing that is truly starting to work. Why do that?
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Christ I don't care if we run Jed Collins 20 times, just run the damn ball
|
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
The way we are running the ball? And it's okay to put Ingram in when everyone in the free world knows what the hell we're gonna do? And that's tolerable? C'mon please, I for one don't give two sh*ts about him fumbling the ball, an occasional series here or there will not derail our running game any worse than it is now. Give him a shot.

Oh no. Adrian Peterson just fumbled, giving the Buc's an opportunity. Bench him.

And watch him fumble. Maybe that's why he's not playing.

Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Ivory? How bout Travaris Cadet. That guy is a player. You cant tell me
Cadet cant play safety. Can Ivory play LB? |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Welp. Truth be told, I was underwhelmed, and a little borderline turned off by this interview...he didn't exactly make the positive upbeat case for himself, that he should be the one out there.
I'll just say this, IF Ivory starts saying anything to the press that has even a whiff of complaining or griping about it -- and this interview is getting pretty close to that -- then I will guarantee right now that he is gone at the end of the year. If they're not talking to him and he's not talking to them, then t's actually beginning to sound like in the coaches minds he's already gone right now. |
Re: Chris Ivory says he's frustrated... lets use him
Let's trade the ONLY Runningback 5.0 that we've got.
REALLY? How about let's let Runningback 5.0 run the ball and let's make the case for trading him or keeping him. He was our leading rusher in 2010. We got underwhelming Mark Ingram in 2011 and that's when we started averaging 2 ypc, pretty much forcing Drew to break records. LOL Trade the Heisman 2.0 for a third-line developmental Linebacker or a good water boy. Alaska |

:whatever: Come on Kromer. Figure out why the run game is so poor. This line is great at pass blocking but can't open up a hole for any of the RB's. I'm all for putting Ivory in to see what he can do. With the line being so inept at run blocking I don't foresee Ivory doing any better than Ingram but I'd happily eat my words if Ivory proved me wrong. |
