Loomis returns from suspension after Monday’s game with immediate problem to solve
After reading this article, how Loomis is supposed to work out a contract with Payton and he can't have contact with the Saints?
When the final gun sounds on Monday night’s game between the Eagles and the Saints, the eight-game suspension of New Orleans G.M. Mickey Loomis will end. And he’ll have a very good reason to get back to work, quickly. In the wake of Adam Schefter’s report that coach Sean Payton’s contract extension was rejected and that Payton will become a free agent after the season, Loomis needs to resolve the situation ASAFP. Sean has more of a chance winning with us than he does with Jerry Jones. We will offer him big money so I don't see why he would go all Carl Nicks on us. It's his team. In Dallas it never will be.

To me it's fairly simple. He has control over the oraganization here or he can go to Dallas and be a puppet for a crappy owner.

Agreed Mr. Benson keeps his nose out of the operation for the most part. Going with Jerry he would have a new set of shared problems. The rub will be what other franchise will be looking at SP and how much will they be willing to shell out.

Tonight Gruden said that Payton is a loyal guy and Benson has been loyal to Sean during all this bounty stuff, so he thinks that he will return to the Saints, and I'm pretty sure that Terico said that the team to start negotiating with Sean asap

Just can't see him working under Jerry, "the new Al Davis" Jones. Just really, really can't see it.

I didn't know about this...
According to ESPN, the league objected to Payton being allowed to nix the deal if general manager Mickey Loomis was fired, suspended or left the organization for any reason. Loomis received an eight-game suspension for his involvement in the bounty case and is eligible to return after Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
