The reason we are calling it ugly is because on defense we have only been able to do this to this crippled team...

We have 20 sacks for the season and 7 of them were last night.

Yeah but one can argue we have not really been blitzing much up until last night. No? Is this the beginning of things to come (as in pressure)?

Look the D did what was suppose to do. We took advantage of a crappy O line. Just think how much you would be *****in had we not gotten the sacks or the pressure. Be happy we got what we got.

Re: Hmmm...

I agree that until now we just weren't blitzing as much. We were trying to get basic front 4 pressures and doing on mixing in man and zone coverages to no effect whatsoever. Granted perhaps Spags chose to change to this because of a crippled o-line opponent, but regardless I would like to see us employ this approach going forward. It's clear we can't get any pressure normally unless it's a coverage sack and we are also getting gashed no matter what defense we run so we may as well run one that has the potential to force a mistake or generate a splash play.

Spaggs blitzed not because he thought we were better, but because he knew Vick was the most hit QB in football.

He exploited... Do not expect that against Atlanta.

Mike... I am not pissing and moaning... Some seem to think there will be the same exploit Sunday against Atlanta... If we do this twice ill stop putting things into perspective..

If we sack Matty Fleice 7 times on Sunday, BBQ for this ENTIRE board at my house.

Well let ME be clear. I am not one who thinks we will repeat this performance next week. I am not delusional. I am just hoping we don't just sit back in zone and wait for the front 4 to apply pressure. If that happens, it's gonna be the same results as it's been all year.
