Hmmm...

Having just watched the game, I came up with a conclusion; I don't care how many yards a team gets against us as long as our Defense does what it did in the red zone tonight. Sure, there were places we needed improving but let's be honest, after what we've been seeing this season, I'll take this anytime. Brees didn't need to carry the team as we had a balance not seen for a while. We got pressure like I have never seen since I can't remember and that yielded 7 sacks! Yes, against other teams we may have problems but I don't care as, for now, I am thrilled with our win. Geaux Saints! Black and Gold forever.

Re: Hmmm...

Agreed. All I care about really is seeing improvement. Although we gave up a butt load of yards, we made some actual defensive plays. I'm very pleased with the win, Drew was a little sloppy tonight, but that Eagle D can put some pressure on ya.

Re: Hmmm...

How did the offense do with the 3 and outs? I thought so.

Re: Hmmm...

Personally, I don't give a fat rat's a$$ if a team throws for a 1,000 yds and rushes for a 1,000 yds against the Saints as long as when the clock read 00:00 4th quarter, the Saints have at least one more point than the other team!

Re: Hmmm...

The Eagles were short three on the OL. Against an average OL we can't get 10% of the pressure we got tonight and that is the reality of it.

The Eagles numbers are also scewed because we scored on defense. I'm deducting the 92 yards or whatever it was from their total because that is what we jacked from em'. I do think though our RB's looked outstanding against a formidable defense. The blocking up front, looked sharp most of the night. If they can keep doing that we could just sneak in.

Well to think we are going to score on every possesion is unrealistic. The other team gets paid to. The problem is as of late, is the drops at key times. What is Grahams deal this year?

As far as yards go, yeah they had a bunch of rushing yards but how many points did they get from rushing the ball? Exactly!

The yards they got were mainly in garbage time. Take a 100 yards off Vicks throwing numbers and he had like 150 yards passing. We played stout in the redzone and thats what matters. We got pressure all night.

I'll take the win and the confidence boost. After what we have seen from our D this year, does anyone really think we are just going to show up one game and shut it all down??? We played a good game but from the sound of most you'd think we just played the Broncos again. Can we just enjoy the best Defensive performance of the year?

Re: Hmmm...

At the end of the season, they don't ask how you won? they ask how many you won? I'll take an ugly win over a tough lose any week

Re: Hmmm...

An ugly win is not reproducible... You don't know what to fix... You'll not face the same team next week...

When you are 8-2 ill take an ugly win.

When you are 2-8 we need to know what is working and what isn't.

Re: Hmmm...

I don't think the win was fugly. I thought it was solid. Yeah they piled up some yards....I don't really care. We won decidedly. Defense forced turnovers and the offense was balanced. **** the yards.
