looks like the key is that very last stat.

we need to run the ball effectively and strongly. i liked what i saw last week, we just need to expound on it and ride the high.

The key stat that no one is looking at is Time of Possession:

The Saints defenses inability to get off the field is giving our opponents 8-10 minute more time of possession than our offense has, this correlates to anywhere from 10-25 more plays.

If our offense cant get on the field, it cant score... The main reason we only put up 28 against the Eagles.

Eagles ToP: 33:30
Saints ToP: 26:30

Eagles offensive plays run: 77
Saints offensive plays run: 54

Denver ToP: 35:14
Saints ToP: 24:16

Denver offensive plays run: 71
Saints offensive plays run: 60


The Bend but don't brake is killing us because we bend like string. If we give Atlanta 11-15 more plays than we have and there is no hope.

Turnovers. We also turned over the ball twice to the eagles which put our defense back on the field. Those 2 turnovers were the difference in the TOP.

This is going to be one very important key to this game. The turds suck against the run. We need to pound it all day and keep there O on the bench. Long drives will be the key to our success.

Saints 8 plays first Qtr... no fumbles or interceptions.. missed FG ToP just over 2 M

Eagles 25 plays, 12+ minutes.

1 D touch town does not account for that.

You need to look at the ToP because our defense couldn't get off of the field...

We average 8 minutes less ToP for the entire season.
40 less 1st downs
50 less offensive plays
