The Saints actually gained an average of 15 more yards and scored just 0.3 points per game less during their 0-4 start. That tells me that their defense has been the difference in the last five games in which they have posted a 4-1 record.

Every print and broadcast sports media has been non-stop about how historically bad the Saints defense is/has been.

But to post that it may have something to do with the Saints 0-4 start reads like something off of Sesame Street!!

It's not about how many more yards or points we're getting, as much as it is the balance of which we're doing it now. We all know if you can't run, you become predictable, which means more turnovers and big deficits. The end result is you get a lot of garbage yards late in games just throwing it around.

And also, running eats clock and keeps your defense off the field. But never leave it to an "analyst" to actually analyze anything beyond pure stats.

I always find it hysterical when that "offensive guru" is brought on shows to talk about anything football related. The same genius that picked Boller, Redmond, etc, etc....to be his next great QB should never be asked anything whatsoever!
