PFT: Gregg Williams rejects requests to testify in bounty appeal

Is Greg Williams not testifying akin to "cut the hearing's head off and the investigation will die?" ... vice-versa or something like that ... I hope so, the NFL just needs to accept the fact they went way overboard on this and they got nothing.

I thought the same thing. I thought Williams not showing up could mean 2 things:

1. Williams doesn't appear. His sworn affidavit is not considered by Tagliabue. Cerullo gets thrown under the bus by the NFL. Face saved. Case closed.

or...

2. Williams doesn't appear. His sworn affidavit is not considered by Tagliabue, therefore eliminating the inconsistencies between Cerullo's and Williams' affidavits. NFL sticks to its guns. Of course, this would be SO obvious, the case will surely go to court.
