Could make Thursday night's game interesting
ATLANTA -- The Falcons, who are off to a rough start against Arizona, just encountered what could be a significant injury.
Cornerback Asante Samuel left the game late in the first quarter with what the team said was a shoulder injury. Samuel’s return is questionable, team officials said. Samuel was taken to the locker room, presumably for X-rays and I have not seen him come back out. The Falcons already are without cornerback Brent Grimes, who suffered a season-ending injury. We’ll find out how the Falcons adjust momentarily, but it’s likely Robert McClain and Christopher Owens will get increased playing time opposite starter Dunta Robinson.
