WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
Did we trade him?
Why did we not utiliize him? Don't give me, "Drew didn't have time", BS. WE F'n forgot how to WIN. Ingram or Ivory ANYWHERE but in the middle? NOPE Lance anywhere but deep off his feet over the middle? NOPE WHO is Henderson? Where could he be? This game is exactly why we will not be Champions again. Period. I'm pizzed. WE FORGET HOW TO WIN TRYING TO BEAT A DEFENSE THAT ISN'T THERE. Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
He was bottled up by one of the better MLB in the NFL? I'll give you the play calling was crap. But I think it had a lot to do with the team we were playing. We had to play mistake free football and we didn't.

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
O line got man handled, Carmichael doesn't trust to run near the tackles, they shouldn't be trusted to even pass block
Brees was gambling with the ball, you only saw two picks today because of a great play by lance on the long pass and joe Morgan using offensive PI to prevent a interception, it could have easily been a lot more Without Payton it looks like our entire philosophy on offense has been forgotten, we don't let Henderson go deep anymore, we can't protect brees like we used to and brees forces the ball way too much Jimmy is inconsistent, makes a huge catch, then drops a 3rd and 7 crucial catch |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
I'm exhausted. Nearly had to fight my way out of our OWN bar tonight.
Emotional contribution - EXPENDED Pizzed. Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
DID WE EVER throw a screen?
Seriously? Did we? Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
We did not see much of his FortyWhiner counterpart either, Vernon Davis. Still, we could have used him a bit more.

2 pick 6 killed us.....

How many Sproles screens did you see? WIN How many Ivory off-right-tackle did you see? Did you see Brees RUN the F'n football? Ivory screen or off-tackle? Reverse? This looked like a "okay, you guys have made it look good enough... now LOSE game." Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
I think all of you are right, but AllSaints, yeah, that did it in really. 14 pts. there for SF49's. Easy TD's for SF49's.
Alaska, I had asked in Live chat during the game, what is it  with up the middle again and again? I said I assume it is because they felt it was safer at that time. After tonight, I am not posting about this game. Come on Thursday. Saints can beat AtlFal AGAIN!!! :bng: |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
SF did a lot of fake passes too. Give them props for being clever.

I wonder what this season will do for Jimmy's upcoming contract negotiations. Can't see it helping him much.

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
49ers fan kept hollering at me, "WhoDat!" I told him I'd kick his teeth in if he kept making it personal. Before the game was over I congratulated him.
THEY F'N OWN US. Simple as THAT. Well coached on their end. We assumed we could go back and play last year's game over an win it, but without Jimmy Graham this time? WTF? Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
"Sproles"
WHO? Alaska |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
Looks like weeks 1-4 all over again... They better figure this out because we don't have anyone coming in to help us till Feb.

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
2 pick sixes for TD's was the difference. The Defense played well enough to win. And there is a big difference between KC/Wash and the niners. The niner D makes a lot of teams look like dog doo. Cut the number of RB's we use in half, get rid of the dead weight on defense and we'll be fine. Maybe not this season, but next year.

2 mistakes that the 49ers turned into 14 pts. Even though the D played much improved you still left them out there for 9 minutes in the 3rd where the 49ers converted 3rd down after third down, and that was the game. |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
We missed Sean Payton.
Period. |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
We'll never know what was intended for Jimmy in the second half....but if we could somehow wave a magic wand, go back in time and magically turn a few of those second half DREW BREES SACKS into JIMMY GRAHAM CATCHES, then Graham's numbers for the night would probably actually be about normal for him against a tough defense like the Niners.
Graham can't catch anything, if Drew is repeatedly being slammed to the turf like a rag doll, being thrown down onto his surgically repaired shoulder, over and over and over again all night. Graham was present and accounted for early in the game, he was making some catches. After the two pick sixes, the Niners sent the house at Drew on every play it was really just garbage time the rest of the night after the two pick sixes. |
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
Jimmy has been going through a case of the dropsies all season.

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
He is a linebacker abuser usually. The niners have a whole different level of LB's though. They handled Graham, simple as that.

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
Everybody seems to be missing Sean Payton a whole lot this year. Your coach can affect your team indeed.
|
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
Let's look at it this way, at least we'll be getting Jimmy for a heckuva lot cheaper than we thought!
|
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
We might but I wouldn't be so certain.
|
Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
The 49ers prepared well for the Saints, it's almost like they game planned around what they saw, then question is who is game planning for the Saints. Sean Payton is missed in games like this where just doing what you normally do wont work, have to show them something they haven't seen before and that just didn't happen.
IMO the Saints have become Predictable!!!! Just saying |

Re: WHO IS Jimmy Graham?
The 49ers played their defense that they usually play - a hard-hittin, ball-hawking 3-4 defense...
And the Saints have had their issues against the 3-4 defense that features larger, more physical Linebackers... And most importantly, we were down to the guy that delivered the hot dogs to the Superdome that morning playing Right Tackle - so he had to help in pass protection... |
