Saints hope to have Zach Strief back
The New Orleans Saints could have their fourth starting right tackle Thursday night when they play the Atlanta Falcons.
Interim coach Joe Vitt just told the New Orleans media that rookie Bryce Harris, who started in Sunday’s loss to San Francisco and left with an injury in the first quarter, will not be available for the Atlanta game. Zach Strief, the original starter, has been sidelined with a groin injury. He practiced some last week, but was not activated Sunday. Vitt said Strief was not close to being ready for the San Francisco game. Vitt said he has some hope Strief, who first was replaced by Charles Brown before he suffered an injury that cleared the way for Harris, might be ready for the Atlanta game. If not, the Saints likely will have to start recently signed William Robinson at right tackle. Saints hope to have Zach Strief back - NFC South Blog - ESPN |
