Anybody that knows me... knows I only post serious stuff... so yes this was intended to be a serious poll.

Tough crowd here. Personally I can't believe there is that much hatred for the Falcons here.... after all... aren't they're our sister southern city? No respect? Geesh... who would have thought it.

Face it... this year is over and I could care less if the Falcons win the freaking SB.

In fact... I'm pulling for the Falcons from here on out. I hope they win the the Superbowl.

There I said it. Wait... don't thing the cat flipped his lid yet... Think about it for a second...

I want them to experience what every team experiences the next year after a SB win because I don't think they can handle it. I want Matt Ryan and the rest of their team to demand $20 million a season! I want their team of primadonas thinking they're better than they are. I want 1/2 their team to leave in free agency. I want them to have the worst draft pick. I want them to have to play 3 more games potentially injuring more of their better players. I want them to take the off-season off. THe last thing I want is them wanting to getting close and spending the whole off-season trying to get better.

So if they win... I'll be sick as all hell BUT.... WE SHALL HAVE THE LAST LAUGH because next year.... EVERY TEAM WILL BE GUNNING FOR THEM...

Ahhh... winning the Superbowl does have it's advantages.... for us.

Congrats go out to the Falcons. On any given Sunday, Saturday,Monday and most of all Thursday. You have to come to play. In the process keep your mouth shut.

As much as I don't want Matty Sh*tpants' impressive playoff "run" to end with a "W," or even a touchdown or field goal....I kinda wouldn't mind if they got lucky all the way to the Superdome and then fell apart in the Bowl against a real team. Losing that '99 Super Bowl really scarred their fan base for many, many years, it was quite delightful to watch them implode and just wither away. Some of them are still traumatized and spooked by the memory of it today. Losing that Super Bowl really set them back for a long, long time, like a six or seven year hangover. Wouldn't mind seeing that happen again.

You're much nicer than I am. If it were up to me, their garbage franchise would never win another game ever again. I love seeing their fans suffering, by any means necessary. If that means they go one and done in the playoffs, then so be it.

Ok FF. Good points you made, there.

Getting to the top of the peak is hard. But staying there is even harder.

So, I will root for their demise, by rooting for their short lived success.

As far as the AFC goes; I am still rooting for my "Saints" of the AFC, the Texans. I am also pulling for Peyton and the Horses. It would be great to see him win and prove all the sportscaster wrong about him not being ready this year.

Can you hear the crying in Atlanta if they lose in the first round of the playoffs...again? I think Mike Smith would have death threats agianst him before he left the stadium. The whole Falcons Fanbase would have to be admitted to an institution. You think we sounded bad last night on the live chat? That was nothing compared to what the Falcons fans will sound like if they lose the first round. The whole fanbase would implode. Do I want them to win a Superbowl? Hell NO! I want them to lose just like they lost last year. In the first round. I don't even want the score to be close. I want a 60 burger put on their azz. I want them to lose and lose hard. I want them to talk about moving the Falcons to Los Angeles. And then, when they lose, I want every Matty Ice kissing sportscaster, to cry on national TV, because i can't stand the way that they kiss skidbritches's azz everyweek. It just makes me sick. Dion Sanders was giving him gifts lat night on NFLN. I couldn't get the channel changed fast enough.

Do I want them to experience everything every other Superbowl team has experience? Not no, but He!! no!

... I'm kinda' warming up to the whole 'Broncos' thing ... might have to brush up on the franchise, all I can think of at the moment other then Peyton Manning & Champ Bailey is Karl Mecklenburg ... and Tom Jackson on ESPN ... never the Falcons ... won't do it.

Been following them all season, they're looking better every week. Their defense is tough. My husband teases me every week saying, "I'll bet you wish you had our defense with your offense, huh? The Falcons wouldn't stand a chance against you." :rolleyes:

Yep, they've done me a couple of solids in a few of the pools I participate in this year & they're walking away with the AFC West ... I think John Fox is a good coach and Peyton Manning has to be the comeback story of the year, though I still worry about him getting sacked ... keep going Slo, I might just talk myself into it, :lol:.

Bronco's 'D'/Saints' 'O'? That would be a marriage second only to yours, my dear ... but you can point out to your Broncos' fan (who I feel, incidentally, is probably luckier than any Broncos' fan really deserves to be :lol:) that the Saints did handle the Falcons quite nicely earlier in the season with their own defense, :lol: ... maybe the Saints could use the Broncos' 'D' to get through a playoff run though, :mrgreen:.

I want to see us finish strong and start playing more of Martez Wilson, Traveris Cadet, Joe Morgan, Akiem Hicks, Corey White...

I'd even love it if the Saints would start Hicks in place of Ellis and really try White at Safety...

I'm Saints first. When that's not available I tend to gravitate to the underdog most of the time assuming I don't have a rooting interest against a particular team, like Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.

In other words, sans Saints I give in to my hate. :lightsabre: Then I go for the long shot.

You can always be a fan of the sport ... some teams haven't got past the first round of the playoffs since the '50s, so if you want to watch any of the postseason, you gotta' kinda' latch onto another team, :lol:.

If it's Falcons versus Patriots or Falcons versus Steelers, then yes Falcons all the way! Other, than that I can't imagine another scenario in which I would root for the Falcons. Perhaps the Broncos, but probably not.
