I said it in another thread -- there's absolutely no shame in hanging around the bleachers until they turn the lights off on you. Eventually you wake up and the security guard nudges you with his billy club and then shoos you out to the parking lot. But as long as you're not crazy or weird about it, there is still nothing wrong in my book with dreaming and hoping and watching the scoreboards of some of these other games and all that good stuff. While you do your laundry or wash your car on the next couple of Sundays.

Thats how I always thought it would be. But, with these 2 loses, and 1 to the falcons, we almost assured that they will get #1 seed, and we can only get #6.
I think if we make the playoffs this is exactly what will happen. We will knock the falcons out.

Saints will have to have some help; the Redskins have tie-breaker over the Saints so need them to be out-right eliminated or have one more loss than the Saints.

Need Tampa, Seattle & Minnesota to drop 2-3 games + have the Saints win out.

Bucs 1 NFC Loss (plus another loss to Saints) + Vikings 2 NFC Losses + Seahawks 2 NFC Losses + Cowboys loss to Saints + Redskins 2 NFC Losses + Rams 1 NFC loss

Bears screwed us again - choking at home. That's why you NEVER want to have to back into the playoffs by someone else losing. It NEVER works for the Saints.

The formula is now:

Bucs loss to Saints + Vikings 1 NFC Loss + Seahawks 2 NFC Losses + Cowboys loss to Saints + Redskins 2 NFC Losses + Rams 1 NFC loss

Stranger things have happened.... also, very typical of our team to bounce back after two mistake ridden performances.

Hate to say it but if this team finishes 9-7 that would be a miracle and a stroke of genius. What team could EVER say they lost their head coach under such circumstances and won even 5 games in a stretch like ours?

It's a credit to the talent we have on offense and (yes) defense!
