Monday Morning Bounty Update - Vitt and Vilma to testify

Linebacker Jonathan Vilma and interim coach Joe Vitt are among those scheduled to testify in the final two days of the hearings.

Vilma will testify Tuesday, according to sources, after sitting through former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' testimony on Friday. Williams was face to face with Vilma and defensive end Will Smith for the first time since Williams left the Saints for St. Louis and since the bounty scandal came to light.

Vitt is scheduled to testify Monday morning around 9:30 a.m. in New Orleans, according to sources. The Saints are scheduled to hold a light practice on Monday around midday and Vitt could miss some of practice depending on how long it takes for Vitt to testify, a source said.

A source also said Vilma and Smith will be excused from Monday's practice to attend the Saints bounty hearings. Scott Fujita and Anthony Hargrove didn't attend the hearings in D.C. and it's unclear if either will attend the New Orleans hearings. Both have access to listen to the hearings in its entirety via teleconference, sources said.

I'm willing to bet we'll hear much more once a decision is made by Tagliabue.

How is an employer not allowed at hearings his employees are testifying at when what is being testified to happened on the employers time card?

the juice is when they throw out all this cockamamy bounty bullcrop. and coach payton can sue the nfl for a years pay with all probability of bonus cash missed. and turn goodels nose sideways. bounty closed.
