Drew Brees has no worries about losing Payton to Cowboys
Six weeks ago, The Cowboys were imploding and the Saints were nervous as the real possibility floated out there that they could lose their suspended coach Sean Payton to a Dallas team on the verge of another disastrous season.
From that moment forward, Dallas was expected to throw their ten-gallon hat in the ring to challenge for his services. Payton lives in the Dallas area and has strong ties to Cowboys trigger puller Tony Romo. It was a situation that made to much sense. In the now, Dallas has bounced back under the tutelage of Jason Garrett and the buzz regarding a coaching change has died down tremendously. Barring a humiliating set of losses to end the season, it appears that Garrett will return. The two teams will play this weekend and true-to-his nature Saints quarterback Drew Brees told ESPN that he never sweated a drop about playing for another guy next season upon Payton’s return to the sport. “Yeah, you know honestly, I haven’t really worried about that,” Brees said. “It seems like there’s been enough going on here for us to focus on and really try not to think about that. I’m very confident that Sean will be back here in New Orleans. So (we’ve) just been trying to focus on football and not think about that.” “I think everybody is making a much bigger deal out of this than it needs to be,” Brees said. “I know it’s a big topic and that kind of thing. We have enough motivation for why we want to win this game and everything else. Is it easy motivation that I know that Coach Payton is less than 20 miles away watching the game on TV as opposed to a couple 100 miles away? No. “I guess it doesn’t really make a difference to us; he’s always with us, even though we haven’t been able to talk to him or communicate with him. That’s been tough and that’s been difficult. It is what it is. We’ve just try to manage.” It was smart for Brees to reinforce his verbiage with a nod to the idea that he and Payton can not have contact during his suspension. Glad Drew spoke out about this. Maybe the rest of the meda will follow. I feel like Payton will be back, but there is still a small piece of me that is not totally convinced. A lot can happen to a man within a year. Things change, people change.

We'll have to hear about it for another few days no matter.

Sean likes Drew a lot more than Tony I'd bet.

How the hell would Brees know? He can't even talk to Payton. He knows as much about Paytons plans as we do
